Didn't expect that kind of heat, otherwise we would have stayed all day. Heepie did great, no overheating but I'm pretty sure I need to hunt down a higher output alternator. Too bad the rest of it's passengers were overheating, lol. Not a bad day of wheeling at all though!
Supper was great and got to shoot the breeze with Julie in the afternoon, thanks a ton for having us over! Other than the white-knuckled night drive through the road construction outside of Manhattan I'd say the tow drive wasn't too bad either. Good day all around
The fans are ran by a coolant temp sensor, when the first one is tripped the single fan runs (about 1/4 up the temp gauge) and when the second is tripped it kicks on 2 more fans so all 3 are running (about 1/2 up the temp gauge). The last 2 are rarely tripped, maybe every 30 minutes for about 30 seconds? The first one pretty much stays on all the time though which I expected
They 3 fans are on separate relays and are 100% automatic. I have them on a master toggle switch to kill power to them if the battery starts getting low or if I want to run them with the vehicle off.
