1946 Ford tilt front end
These are just a few pics of my truck as I have worked on it. It is far from done but I thought a few of you might be interested. If any of you have questions or ideas/suggestions feel free to email me or if you want more pics. I have 1 1/2 3 ring binders full of photos & more to come as I progress on the build (I could probably fill up a CD).
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback guys, I will definitely be adding more photos as I go along & feel free to ask questions about the truck or how I did something. As far as the front clip goes, no it does not slide forward. If you look closely at the hinges I made you'll see that it just tips forward from the hinge. I did have to cut the bottom few inches of the fenders off & permanently attach them to the cab so it didn't scratch the cab when I opened the hood. I will try to post some photos of just that in the next couple of days for you. I need to get back out into the garage & finish my shift handle I made out of a 1" dia. piece of solid steel. I turned it down on my little lathe using some of the dia. measurements from the Mustang lever but about 18" long instead of the stock short lever. Once I'm done with it I'll have my son take it to work & get it heat treated & some what hardened but not brittle. I'll post some photos of that also.
Thanks

P.S. I would never use anything other than Ford parts in any of my vehicles & in the case of the truck, if I could afford it & it was available I bought it but if I couldn't afford to buy it I built it from scratch. The motor is just a 351W with an estimated 300 to 325 HP. I didn't want to soup it up since it will be a major daily driver for me when done.
Thanks

More Photos of my 1946 hot rod
The bar of steel is what my shifter looked like before I took my lathe to it. Now I have to bend it & cut the shift handle threads.
Do to someone cutting out the front fenders in an effort to lower the cab I had to use the only good part of the original fenders from dad's truck to get it back to stock looking.
