92 7.3L Won't start when hot

Just bought a 1992 F250 with 7.3L non-turbo. It starts fine when cold but when hot, it cranks fine but will not start. I've been reading different threads that suggest it might be the Cam Position Sensor, but don't want to start replacing parts until I find the solution. Any suggestions?

You have an idi, indirect injection. It has no cam sensor like the DI powerstrokes. A worn injection pump can cause your problem. When its hot and wont start pour a bunch of water on the IP to cool it off and see if it starts. The IP is that octopuss looking thing in the center top of the engine, right behind where you add oil. Go down to the idi section under diesels and do some reading... post questions there for best results.
