new Mountaineer owner PICS

Hi all,
I post regularly as I own a 2004 F-150 that you can see in my sig. Well my wife has driven a 2005 Jeep liberty for the last 3 years, and we were happy with it, great vehicle for us. Problem was, just a little too small for our family. We looked at 2006-2008 mountaineer's and explorer's and ended up finding the Mountaineer you see below. It is a 2006 with 82,500 miles. My wife loves moonroofs and I had the dealer put one in for 1,200. It is not perfect, has some scratches here and there. But exterior is in pretty good shape, and interior is good also, seems to run great, shift great and all that. It has the 4.0 in it. Pretty good rubber about 50% left. I got two new center caps ordered, I don't know why the center caps oxidize so bad on the mountaineers. Anyway, I will be patrolling this forum some now and if I need help I am sure I will ask you all for it. So hello and here are the pics:

Congrats on the new ride! I don't think I've ever seen a Mountaineer in that color.

These trucks are pretty great all-around vehicles, I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchase.

thanks. I think it is called redfire, paint code was g2, I had to buy some touch up paint and get started touching spots up. Discovered today that the 6 cd changer doesn't work, says load error. it won't even load a disc. We bought it at a dealer, I will try to get them to put a new one in, I shoulda checked it, but they shoulda too, and if it wasn't working they shoulda told me.

Nice ride...we have a 1998 with 203K and some change on it. same motor 4.0 . Had to do the tranny at 170K and hubs, alternator and battery..brakes and things but that is about it.

Looks great! I have a 2003 Sport Trac and my 6 disc CD gives me a load error as well. Maybe you could look into getting a navigation AV receiver for it, that is what I am thinking about installing in mine.
