I did some searching on the forum and i found out that there is a little switch on the brake pedal shaft that operates the lights and release the gear selector lever. i went out and found it, its a little black thing. how do i fix it? i noticed that if i just push slightly up on it it releases the shifter but how do i fix it. Replace it?
Update- triedto play with switch and adjust it , no luck. went and bought new switch for 8 bucks and replaced. All is good. thanks

 

check your fuses first. a blown brake light fse wll cause itnot to come out of park. there may be two one in the use panel and may be one under hood

 

Does it just need adjusted so that when you push the pedal it activates?

 

I think it just needs to be adjusted. No blown fuses and the lights come on when I push it with my finger. How do you adjust it ?
