leaking injection pump
Hi all, new to the forum so I apologize if this ends up being a repeat thread.
So I just purchased an 84 f250 with a 6.9L today. The only issue that I need to take care of is the fuel leak that is coming out of the return line at the front of the injection pump.
Do any of you know what kind of seal this fitting uses? Will I need to buy a whole rebuild kit for this?
Thanks!

Is it leaking from the 90 degree coming off the pump starting the return?

What are you calling the front of the pump.
towards the firewall, or towards the radiator?

ok, thats the back of the pump. if its leaking past the threads, pull that fitting out and use a liquid thread sealer, and put it back in.

Well that was much easier than I thought! Once I finally put a wrench to it I found out that the fitting was loose.
I tightened it up and hopefully that'll do it!
