MD Truck Salvage Yards?

Who is hiding all of the decent salvage yards for 67-72 trucks? If not MD, Mid Atlantic region. I'm searching for a decent shortbed amongst other things, all to no avail!

Thought some may have some spots!

There is a yard near Hagerstown That I used to use quite a bit, had 155 acres of cars, and 55 acres of trucks. I haven't been there in years, so I have no idea what's left. There used to be stuff in there from the 30's.

It was called Grimm's junk yard, but I think after the old man died, they called it Elwoods Auto Exchange. It's on route 64 between Smithsburg, and Hagerstown

Cool, if you need directions, let me know.

I grew up near ther. That yard kept a lot of my stuff running. There used to be 3 or 4 unibodys in there. I may have to take a road trip when I can walk again!

There is a crazy ray's up there in jessup or elkridge.. I haven't been in but don't bother calling asking if they have any bumps cause they aren't too friendly. It is just a pick place looks pretty big from google earth.

You may have to go south or west for decent sheetmetal for them, I know a good guy in NC that gets good sheetmetal from out west and brings it back.

Has anyone delt with a decent junkyard on the eastern shore? Still looking for a decent running 351w at a reasonable price.

Not yet. I have been working on pulling the old one apart so I can go ahead and pull it out of the truck and clean up the engine bay in hopes of finding one. The truck is not going to be a daily driver, just a huntin truck so I'm actually thinking of looking to go carb instead of another fuel injected.

I kinda old school, I would too. I have a 300 6 cylinder on my engine stand, you could have for free if you want it, it's an old one. I've never had it apart it was in a parts truck I bought, don't have the heart to throw it away. You can't kill those things and I think the motor mounts are the same as the 302/351's. Something to thionk about anyhow.
