Exclamation Should I buy these wheels/tires?

Hey guys,

1st post here but long time creeper I have stolen lots of knowledge from this forum.

Anyways, I am looking for new wheels/tires for my 2006 F250 5.4l and I noticed that a guy locally has some wheels and tires for sale off of a 2002 F350 33x12.50x16

Am I going to have an offset problem? Any other problems you guys might see?

Thanks.

First Welcome to FTE...there are many great people here.
I think 2005-up Super Duties need at least 17" wheels due to the brake caliper.

Great call Gage! That's exactly why I thought I would ask here.

What he said. MOST 16's won't fit over '05+. Some (steel or high end forged aluminum tend to be be thinner) may with a bit of grinding on the caliper.
Even worse the offset changed in '05. The pre-'05 wheels would end up sticking out further. That seems to be popular look, but it is NOT good for handling, suspension life, or fender clearance.

I guess I am going to spring for new wheels/tires.

Looking at 17x9 rock crawlers. Any opinion on whether I should go with 5 inch or 4.5 inch backspace?

Also, I want some meat on those rims but don't want to rub. I don't have a lift or leveling kits. What size tires would you guys go with? I will be getting mudders

If you have 373s I wouldn't go any higher than 265-75-17
