Distributor cap woes
My last trip to the local mud hole I hit a rather large puddle and sent water all over the front end and up into the engine. I barely made it out before then engine died on me and wouldn't restart. I had to pop the cap and dry of the points with my shirt. is there a way to prevent this with a gasket or sealant? Anything other than not hitting puddles at a high rate of speed??

Distributor cap woes
You can get a distributor boot from a ~'78-90 Crown Vic (any car 5.0L) to help protect it. They're cheap & easy to find in junkyards, and I think some online stores sell them.
