Garrett turbo high flow outlet ????

Hey guys - I will be installing a high flow outlet & eliminating my stock ebpv - What happens to the sensor after I do this - Will I need to remove it or leave as is ? Tia, Bill

Somewhere in here is an EBPV delete writeup, and I'll see if I can locate it and post it up for you. From what I recall, you can unplug it but it will throw a soft code. One of the aftermarket guys makes a plug you can install in the sensor harness that eliminates the soft code, but I believe it is just a plug with a commonly available resistor connecting the two wires out of the plug to fool the PCM into thinking that the EBPV is functioning, and you can actually make your own plug for little to nothing.

Like I said... I'll snoop a bit and post what I can find for you.

EDIT/UPDATE:

Thread discussing the issue in greater details... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-question.html

Another good read... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...v-removal.html

Aftermarket EBPV Code eliminator - prefabbed... http://www.puredieselpower.com/catal...tor-p-106.html

Hope this gives you everything you need.

High flow outlet

I recently installed a 1.15 outlet with no ebpv and I am lovin it.
I have an edge programmer with three settings. I can run the 40 hp tow all day long with no EGT worries. Spooling is slow but once it gets the rpms up its pretty much WOT all day with no worries. I have run the 80 HP tune some and it really gets the job done but its not to be ignored cause the EGTs can get up there pretty quick.
I may be a little lazy but I like using my cruise.
I am pulling 20 to 26 thousand pounds with a 9500 pound F-550 so it gets a workout.
Be interested in hearing how it works out for you.

Thanks - I'll let you know how it does when I get it installed & get a chance to tow. Still waiting for some cooler weather to get 3 or 4 mods done-
