Engine and trans install

I have a 2001 Explorer Sport.

The engine and trans need to be installed.

Can I install the engine and trans hooked together?

This make the install easier.

I dont see why not.. Years back we would pull off the hood, remove radiator and front end grill, etc to have a long pathway to do just that. Seldom had to take off the fenders, but that might help on new car/ truck.
