. You will find more information and cooperation here than anywhere else on the web. That is a great looking project you have and we will all be paying attention to your progress as you post updates.
Those wheels are very interesting... They are very much like the old Halibrand Magnesium castings and very desireable among collectors here and elsewhere. I think they were offered/used on some of the early A.C. Cobras using a pin drive design. Halibrand also cast the wheels in aluminum. Are there any casting identification marks on the back side of the wheels?

Welcome! Here we don't consider that a rat rod, a rat rod would be just the cab and bed channeled over the frame, top heavily chopped, no fenders, no hood, grill from an old tractor or ?. The term was originally coined to mean a vehicle put together as cheaply as possible from mismatched extra junk parts that were laying around. It has a negative connotation in most circles.
