What is the difference between the two transmissions below on the 2013 Ford Explorer 4 Wheel Drive with Towing Package?

Dave according to the 2013 Explorer Source Book, the Trailer Tow Package includes a specifically calibrated version of the SelectShift 6 Speed auto (44C). Not exactly sure what that entails but I would imagine it has calibrations in place to optimize shifting when towing and to help keep the engine in the torque curve for maximum power and / or efficiency.

You can access the Source Book here:https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&p...3ZjViMjg&pli=1

You can also go to this site:https://sites.google.com/site/oregon.../2013-explorer and scroll to the bottom of the page to see several detailed documents about the 2013 Explorer.
