2010 F150 Complete Dash in 1979 F350 Reg Cab

Just looking for thoughts opinions! fficeffice" /><O></O>
<O></O>
I have the complete dash center console and seats out of a 2010 F150 Raptor. I was originally going to do this conversion but am now I'm having second thougts. It has the full Navigation screen with touch control heat and A/C Sync etc...<O></O>
<O></O>
I have a regular cab F350 4X4 that I would be putting it in. I know it would be cool but not sure if I should keep it old school.<O></O>

I have seen these trucks with a modern dash in them. It looks cool but it's also a long ways from old school. Getting everything to work will be a challenge since most of it is run through a computer.
I will see if I can find the pics.

thought about doing something like that. But thats a ton of work, would not be easy to do either. And you figure if your going to swap out the dash and seats, might as well do the door panels also. even more work.

If you want a more modern look, heres what I did for the dash. Wrapped it to give a more modern look, wrapped the dash pad, upgraded the A/C to more modern, stereo is all modern, gauges swapped out. Keeps the feel of the stock look, but all modernized without swapping out dashes. F150 seats also. Still working on it, but its getting close to finished.

CRSWEET78 I've been checking out your thred An I love your interior! That's what's caused me to be on the fence about doing this. But I have everything including the HVAC and I even have an Idea of how the door panels would retrofit.

It would be pretty bad *** if I pull it off. I think it will be easyer than people think because all the wiring is mounted to the dash allready.

It would be cool to see that done. Ive seen a ton of muscle cars that have had that done, never one of these trucks. Only problem I would see, is what is run off the computer, and laying out all the wiring. Of course it could be done and it would be a ton of work, but if you want something different and arent worried about loosing the original interior, I say go for it! Youd have the only dent with the interior out of a raptor.

That's why I want to do it so bad. I have the under hood harness with the relay box so I could run the lights starter etc. As for the speedo and the tach and the other gauges I would do aftermarket for that part but the rest would work.. Thaks for the encuragement!

I've been thinking it would be pretty sweet to swap in either the new Ecoboost or the new 5.0 into a dent side. Huge project I'm sure, but it would be pretty cool to have the modern power/fuel economy with the much better looking (IMHO) vintage body. If I ever find a huge sack of cash on the side of the road this may be something I try to get done! Of course I've still got to buy a dent side first....

That would be cool! I'm sticking with the 460 that was put in it.

It's been done - though not with a raptor dash.

Personally, newer dashes are ugly compared to our old ones. That's just me though...

Plus you have to keep in mind the shape of the dash where it meets the windshield, etc. might be VERY different from the Raptor, so there will be lots of "massaging" work to get it to fit.

I say go for it as long as it will fit decent and look like the truck came with that dash. I dont like how much room that dash that chasetruck posted took up. Doesnt look right in the cab. If I did this I would try to make it look like it was an original dash as far as fitment goes, but looking at how far out the newer dashes stick out in our trucks, not sure I would do it. Stick with the old dash and modernize it.

You could still use the console and seats.
