Bought a junkyard holley carburetor- dont know what rebuild kit to buy.

I bought a carburetor, came off a small block 80's model ford truck. There weren't any doors on it and no marking to which year it was, but it had an egr. I forgot to write down the vin.

The carb doesnt have a tag on it, just some numbers. Its electric choke vacuum secondary 4 barrel holley, single feed fuel. dual float bowls. Can someone help me figure which rebuild kit I should buy?

On the air horn its stamped B0476 and under that its 1217
The choke plate is stamped 410
Next to the air horn on the body its stamped 6R 5696 B
The metering plate?(the thing between main housing and primary resivoir) 10647
The accellerator pump is stamped 34r-2178b

Was wondering what size it was, and what rebuild kit to buy for it. I dont know how to look them up, and google isnt my sidekick! Thank you!

Holley Performance Technical Service Department

One of the carb guys may know more offhand.

Does it say anything like "Manufactured for Ford by Holley" on the front anywhere?

On the front of the air horn there should be some letters that say "list" and then some numbers after it.

I didnt find anything that said list like on the other holleys ive had. I didnt find any other manufacturer name on it either.

Maybe these will help?

Holley is the only manufacturer ive found on it, though it is greasy.

I dunno if you can make it out, but this is where there are numbers on the air horn B0476 maybe 80476 i dont have good enough eyes. Below that number is another 1217.

This is next to the air horn on the main body. reads 6r(5696)B

Getting the hang of this photo thing, too bad I only have my cheesy phone camera on hand.

Here is the pic with choke plate open.

Here is a picture of what it looks like.

Are all the ford carbs of that era the same kit by chance?

That is a Ford Motorcraft (Made by Holley) 4180 600 cfm carburetor. These were found on the 1985 - 1987 F-Series and Bronco 351 H.O. trucks and the 1983 - 1985 Ford Mustang GT.

Every Ford Motorcraft (Made by Holley) I've seen says exactly that on the front bowl.

It's definitely a smog type carb. You can tell that by the bowl vents.

It was built the 121st day of 1987

You want a Holley 3-1346 rebuild kit for it.
