Morning everyone,
Well we did not go to any exciting places yesterday, I did get a great pic overlooking the capital city of Pristina. We stopped at a nice steak place and had a nice lunch. I will try and post the pics tonight. It is very dry here too. We are heading out early this morning so I have to get my butt in gear. Hope you all have a great day.

Here are pictures from the western side of Kosovo, Also overlooking the capital. They real do no justice on how they are in person. We are heading back from the city of Prizren to Camp Bondsteel. We were looking at trucks for the Kosovo special forces. I also threw in a pic of me meeting the President while doing tornado relief in Americus a few years back.

WOOOWW!! Words cant even describe how beautiful those are!
I can only dream of places like that, iv never even been outta the surounding states of Georgia. The mountains are as tall as the clouds, and I would love to cast a line in that river! Chief, you had a once in a life time experience meeting the President! Thanks for the pics!

You would be disappointed here. Most of the rivers here are heavely poluted with trash everywhere and I would not eat the fish here. Prizren is nice and very clean compaired to most of the other cities. We stopped at a place on the way back to get a cup of coffee about 2 miles higher, it was right on the edge of being cool and needing a light jacket.
Of all my deployments this has been the best one so far, I am able to get out and about instead of stuck in a motorpool and no one is shooting at me. The locals are very nice and supprised on how many speak english, we even ran into some people from New York here on vacation.

Biting the bullet :(
I might be biting the bullet and putting Ol' Veronica into a state of temporary retirement With her out of commission I will be able to start the long slow process of turning her into my own custom truck.
Corporate today approved of me buying their 98 (gulp) chevy k1500 with the toolbox sides and 88k miles for $2k. It was formally the rescue truck but was more used to patrol the marina. I offered $300 a month and they took it. I drove it before numerous times and the only complaint is the AC needs recharging. I dint know yall, I've owned Fords all my life but never some shebbie and always said I wouldnt own one but it seems I have no choice now. Veronica needs repairs and I need to get to work.
