well i figured the top id make from ASTM A-36 structural steel channel and use the 1/8 for the triangular side bracing...

eventually i will.. just dont have the time.. the $$ or the tools too get it done atm... well have most the tools just not all of them...

brandon what kind of vehicle did you get that 429 out of?? was it another truck or a car?

It originally was in a 68 thunderbird. Then it was transplanted into one of my cousin's bronco's. Then it sat for 7-8 years and now I have it

Laptop battery is going to die soon... will probably disappear unannounced..

reason i asked was because they had different specs between the truck engines and the car engines for the 429... so since it came from a T-bird youll want this for when you rebuild... its the same place i get mine..

I haven't found any reason to rebuild this engine, so I'm not going to. Tomorrow I am hoping to remove a main bearing cap and check a couple of the main bearings, but if they are like the rest of the engine I'm sure it will be good to go.
