Wag...mums the word bud!...

The micro/convection combo appears to be a neat combination.

You can use it as a stand alone microwave or convection oven but it also has a combination mode where it uses both microwave and convection at the same time...

In convection mode you can use metal pans and foil...

Obviously in microwave or combo mode you cannot use metal...

We'll be making the ham and cheese sliders as well as the boneless wings in there today...giving it a good workout...plus it won't heat up the house today either as much!

interesting.....I would assume in convection mode it is using electric heat behind an internal circulating fan similar to how the convection ovens work?

I believe that is the case Ben...basically an electric oven with a fan to circulate the heat.

It doesn't use the magnatron and hence why you can use metal pans and foil...

We haven't tried the combo convection/microwave mode yet...

for smaller dishes, that may just be the ticket for the convection bake...cheaper on the electric bill too, maybe....plus give her another oven when coking large meals....I will probably go that route when ours konks out...thanks for the info Joe!

Exactly how we figured it Ben...now she has 2 ovens to use while cooking large meals...

Today we'll use it just to not heat up the kitchen as much!

I'm also looking forward to reheating pizza and stuff like that using the convection part...I'm not a huge fan of pizza reheated via microwave and we have too much to reheat it in the toaster oven...now with this...we can actually reheat it like we would in the oven...theory sounds good at least on this combo...but it is still too early to tell fully...

All I know is I think we lucked into one at a very good price...so I'm not complaining...I mean don't get me wrong...I would have preferred to NOT spend the ~$300+ yesterday as the other microwave was 14 months old for gosh sake!!!...but like I said...if you are handed lemons...make lemonade...right!

Morning Indiana and all of our IN friends!

Well Zoe's family party yesterday was a blast...I'm moving very slow this morning though...too much beer and I broke open a bottle of 23 year old Guatamalan rum...YUM...but ouch!...LOL...

Every morsel of food went and we had a LOT of food...

The ham and cheese sliders were fabulous as were the teriyaki chicken boneless wings...both of which were made in the new convection oven...!

We had some "wind" and it threatened to storm...but we got NO rain...

There are still like 50,000 folks around here without power too...they are saying maybe Saturday at the latest...can you imagine that?...generator sales are quite birsk as you can imagine!

Well...while I'm moving slow...I still need to start being productive...

Have a great day everyone!

I'll check in later.

Joe.
