Well, good morning Pat! Kind of scarry taking on another payment while there are so many other irons in the fire. Congrats on the new Explorer. I imagine Mom is super happy. Do you get to drive it other than to get it serviced?

Yeah, it's a nice little rig. I'll probably drive it when we go somewhere together in it. This should cut down on the miles on my truck, since we were taking it everywhere. Not relishing another car payment, that's for sure!

My wife really likes her 06 Explorer. Of coarse I don't drive it much she says it's her car. Actually it has a truck VIN# but don't call it a truck around her. I get to drive it to get it serviced and washed and that's about it.

I think the older Explorer's were built upon a truck frame, the Ranger, I think. These are not, so I don't classify it as a truck, like I did her Expedition.

I wonder if the Explorer got a new body because of the demise of the Ranger that did supply the frame.

Good question. Or, maybe it's design was getting a little long in the tooth.

The basic shape has been around for a long time. The Edge has the shape to come. She wanted an Edge when we got the Explorer and now she wants a new Explorer.

I hear they discontinued the Ranger to promote F150 sales. B-astards! Lol

And yes, the Explorer is a SUV on a Ranger frame. Theyre almost identical lol
