Does the fan kick in for trans temp ?

I pull a 16' quad trailer occasionally and notice the fan kicks on often when I am pulling it in the mountains. The water temps are only around 190-195 and eot is maybe 5-8 delta but the fan kicks on, usually after I am above 5000 feet elevation.
Do not have any temp guage for transmission, trailer and quads weght I'm guessing 4-5 thousand pounds. It's doing more now than I can remember in the past.

I pull a 13,000 lb., wet, 5th wheel up the eastern sierras and the tranny never gets out of the 180's on a 97 degree day. You need some real gauges to pin point what's going on.

Not sure if my problem is as simple as my tires are too big @ 38" as long as I'm rollin it's fine but when I am at low speeds my fan kicks on, it runs for a minute or two then kicks off And the engine is not what's doin it.
I am going to take to Ford and let them do a complete fluid change and see if that takes care of it. Trans is shifting good I drive it like a old lady so I know trans in good condition 71,000 miles

Is there a trans temp # for SGII ?

Same mountain range, highway 4 bear valley area.

Thanks for the #s. I think I may have found a possible contributing factor to it running warm. Pulled the grill off and found my cooling system plugged up with bugs BAD brushing it clean and blowing it out with compressed air.

Will input transmission #s and moniter temps. Thanks guys
