My family and I are hitting the road in an R.V. over the next year after being in Haiti since the earthquake so as to reconnect with our supporters. We plan on buying a trailer (truck tires will not be on the ground) that our R.V. can pull and would like to purchase a light diesel duty truck (don't care what year it is) that will hold 6 in seat belts and get good to excellent gas mileage. Plan on letting our teen use this as a work vehicle (lawn care ect.) as he goes to college when we are done so fancy smancy isn't to high on the list - Been reading lots of your posts and you guys really know trucks -what year and model do you recommend?

mid to upper teens hwy id guess as long you can keep it 75mph (preferably 55-65 and it will do even better,like any truck) or less.most of them duallies sport 4.10 gearing.she'll be real nice and stable and have plenty towing power for ya.still real good economy with the E40D trans over the road.
that one there is 1,000 times more reliable than the 6.0l and she'll bring in about half again the economy of the 6.4l.
she truly is legendary.
