If your air bag light is blinking count the blinks. It's telling you something is wrong with the system. It will not "reset". It will only go back to normal function AFTER the malfunction is repaired. Count the blinks and post it here and we'll tell you what they mean.

If your light is on, it's either going to be a sensor or the RCM(Restraint Control Module).... Get the codes read. A restraint code should show up under trouble codes. The air bag sensors are easier to get to then the RCM. The Module is under the center console and if I remember correctly might need programming upon installation?

Air bag system flashes a light coded two digit code.
What is it? It can't be cancelled.

Flash codes are there just so you can watch the pretty lights!

Since the original poster, gerrell3345, hasn't even been back to comment and I obviously have no idea what I'm talking about, I'll just call this "The End".

What a waste of paper my Master ASE certs must be........

Congrats on the Master! I'm working on mine. Haha, I haven't even passed ONE test yet. But then I'm still in school for one more semester. I did land a kick *** internship at a Ford Dealership, so i get to use all the cool Diag. computers and such and learn this stuff on a daily basis....

I have a 2001 F150 XL, my air bag blinks intermittently then stays on...I have a code 32, high resistance on the driver air bag circuit. Is replacing the most likely cure? My horn and cruise control are functioning properly.

Thanks,
