I have to say it, I like the Aggies now that they have Sumlin! He was a great coach at UH, and this is the first time that I have ever rooted for the Aggies...

But back on Tigerfan Topic, Great looking work on your truck. I love those wheels!

I have as well. I am also thinking of trying their black ss when it comes time to paint my truck.

Well after taking a break due to us having our first child I'm back out in the shop! Working on the drivetrain right now, started out as a 302 donated from a 95 pickup and after machine work is now a 306 with a few goodies to make cruising a little more fun.

Hey Tiger,
Congratulations on your first child!! The fun begins - enjoy!

Love the look of your engine - what sort of heads are you using?
Changes from stock 302?

We've got a 351W in our '50 - all Edelbrock from the Top End up.
Cruises nice. What transmission are you going with?

Looking good in LSU Country. If you guys see A&M - give them a good thumping for us Longhorns.

Thanks. The heads are the Ford Racing X heads. I also added a small cam, nothing too crazy. My goal is to fire it up before the years end and then start paint and body...

Either need to cut on the firewall some or move motor mounts forward an inch or so, but the fit is pretty close

Hey Tiger
Make sure you take some measurements with the radiator in place.
It get's very tight up front depending on the fan you go with. We used a Derale electric fan -
3 inches wide & we didn't have any extra room.

We ran into problems when we needed to mount a larger Mark VIII electric fan to keep the engine
cooled properly. Putting a shorty water pump on with matching bracket set is a good idea if you think
you need to move the engine forward much.

Thanks. Did you have to trim any of the firewall or trans tunnel with your setup?

Don't forget, you can move your radiator support to the six cylinder position, to allow extra clearance up front.

Hey Tiger,
Our set up is the 351W & an AOD transmission. The 351 is going to have a
very similar footprint to your engine. We did not have to adjust the firewall
but we did have to enlarge the transmission cover set up to get the taller AOD in there.
We also shifted our motor about an inch & half to the passenger side to get more room for
the steering & exhaust on the driver's side.

(We have our radiator in the most forward position).
