So I know this isn't the correct forum, but my thread in buying advice has gone unanswered and I really want to buy this truck (need it bad for work). First off, I'm looking at a 93 f150 which would be my first truck (24, drove car). The only problem is I have no idea what to ask the guy when we talk on the phone. I know in has a 4.9 manual in it with a new clutch and trans 2/3 years ago? It looks good and well taken care of. I'm in the Rockies and need a work truck for fencing .I have to drive 6+ hours to get it and I want to be sure it's worth the drive. Just want to know what you all look for in this model engine/model.Thanks ahead, I really enjoy the forums and the collective knowledge.

 

That combo is far from rare. Tell us more about it. Supercab or regular? 4wd or 2wd? base model or fully loaded? What's he asking for it? It could be $800 or it could be $4000 depending on options and condition.

Have you checked craigslist? I've seen plenty of F150 I-300/5speed trucks on there so that should give you some clue as to what it's worth. And I bet you can find one closer to you to make it easier to look over and inspect.
