Clearly you didn't read this thread, as it says it's a 10mm in post 35 from our resident trans guru.

I did read all the posts and have tried a 10mm and an 8 mm. If I could figure out how to upload a pic I would show you what it looks like. It sure don't look like no 10mm that's why I asked the questions I did

Have you tried a 9mm? Someone could have replaced the bolt.

Ok update. I went to the Ford dealership and got the bolt issue figured out. The bolt is a star bolt. When they gave me the diagram for the sensor it hit me like a brick cause as soon as I seen the bolt it was the only tool I didn't try was a star socket set. So I have to go buy a set but thanks. First time for everything I guess.

That's odd, 6-pt is standard for those.

I didn't mean to come across as a dick earlier, you just posted asking what size without the back story you provided afterwards.

Glad you go it figured out! Stick around, we're a fun and crazy group of people

Another update. I replaced the OSS and she drives like nothing ever was wrong. Not saying that was the cure but for now it seems to be. I will let y'all know if anything else comes up though. Krazee Matt it's all good. I understand now where you were coming from. I am a little backwards sometimes and tend to tell things backwards. I was just trying to get the old girl back up and running that's all. I will stick around just because everyone seems to be pretty good folks on here. Thanks for the advice

FTE is one of the best forums I've been a member of, regardless of brand.

Check out the tech sticky link at the top as well. Tons of great tips, tricks, fixes, etc.

There's another sticky up there with 'read me first' in the title, second post has an intro walk through on signature, location, adding pictures, etc.

I have a 2001 ford sport trac that is coding OSS bad ford replaced it and it worked fine for 10 mins and od light started flashing again. It started two months ago and I would pull over and cut engine off and back on and it would shift great for a wk till od light starts flashing and shifts crazy till u get up to Highway speed runs perfect. Any help would really be appreciated my wife has ovary cancer so u know how tight money is.
