How many amps should my truck draw off?

Im gonna try this question here.

What should my draw be with the truck off. 1991 f250-460-4x4. No weird aftermarket stereos or stuff.

I am getting 0.1amps draw currently and i think it should be lower.

If I figure right, that is only about 1.25 watts. Computer and memory in radio will draw "some". You could clean all your battery/cable/ground connections to see if it makes any diff. Franklin2 may have some good numbers for you.

Well that might be good news. I replaced all power wires, grounds, starter, solenoid, battery. alternator is good.

Anyone have any problems with the bulkhead connector ?

.1 amps is high. Should be around .07amps, usually much lower than that. Pull the fuses one at a time and see if you can get rid of it.

Thanks Franklin,
I pulled all fuses, still draw. Unplugged bulkhead connector, still draw(but isolated to engine bay. Unplugged everything in engine bay, still draw.

Forgot that the horn has never worked on this truck. Unplugged horn, draw went to 0.03 - 0.01.

SWEET!

That's good. But the horn is probably not the problem. Maybe the horn relay or connections upstream causing voltage to be applied to the horn.

Correct, I couldn't see the whole module just the bits where the connectors mated. (winch bumper) I realize it was the DRL module and not the horn. Horn still not working...
