Front Leveling Question.

<HR style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d1d1e1; COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1 itxtNodeId="589"> <!-- / icon and title -->

I've been researching this forum a bit and read about a popping noise while in reverse after the truck has been leveled with the correct kit, something about the tie rods. Did I read and comprehend that right?

Any and all insight greatly appreciated as now I'm wondering if it's even worth it. Maybe just buy and install new springs is what I'm left thinking I should do. The guy said that that alone will lift the truck some.

2 wd 2001 F250 Super Cab 7.3.

Thanks. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

popping could be the twin beam bushings in the center, they go all the time especially with the weight of a 7.3 above it

IMHO...when a part is shot or worn out like your front springs...then it is time for replacements.

Adding a spacer to lift the front...is a band-aide approach. Plus...not a safe one at that. The springs do more than offer ride height...but load capabilities.

Good luck...
