C-4 sucks

I took my throttle body down for the fourth time, my front and rear bands are working! After reinstalling the throttle body and the tranny pan, and topping off the fluid level. I ran through the shift positions 10 times, ALL gears appear to be working. I hold the brake and shift the positions up and down, every gear shift engages with both the brake and gas pedal stopping and accelorating the rear tires! As soon as the tranny is lowered to the ground, I have no reaction in foward gears at all! What am I missing here? I am ready to convert this truck to a manual shift, any ideas will be appreciated. C-4 sucks

I had an AOD do this in 3rd and OD. In the air, it would pull, but on the ground, it would not. Sounds like the clutch pack may be wasted. Jimmy
