Rancho Shock (RS9000XL) Setting?

What are your settings and why do you use that setting?

I like 6 front and 3 rear most of the time with an empty truck. It doesn't rattle you and it doesn't "bounce" too much, kind of a happy medium.

Depending on the road conditions and load I'm carrying I've run a bit higher. If you get stuck on an expansion joint road, believe it or not 9's front/back will have the most dampening/slowest bounce/best ride quality I think. It is a bit stiff, but it will hold the truck back a bit.

The standard 9000's are OK as you can adjust them, but you can't adjust them on the fly. I would recommend the MyRide system if you want to be able to tune on-the-go. Its the only way to go. Without it you will have a real hard time making adjustments and being able to feel the change.

I have them on the rears only as that is where I needed the most damping. I use Max when towing and min when not.

i know I'm on a 7.3L but I run 5 on the front all the time and 9 in the back when I have the 5er and 3 in back without. I really like the adjustability of these shocks - looks like they'll be a good choice when/if I get a newer truck too (shhh don't tell my 7.3)

I run 5 on the front (tried 6 but it was too rough as I have the +1 springs in the front-camper package) and 2 on the back...loaded 9

I ordered mine from four wheel online, $ 324.95 before the $ 100 rebate + free shipping for fathers day....

the only drawback is it takes awhile for them to ship. But I'm in no hurry especially for $ 224.95 for 4 RS9000XL's!

When you guys say you are setting them at a certain number, Are you just counting the clicks as it turns. I didn't see anything printed or stamped in the metal on mine.

And if you count the clicks, from which direction Clock wise or counter?

Thanks. My front shocks came 3 weeks ago and I installed them just before dark. Figured I take a good look at the rear shocks when I installed them, For some reason the rear shocks have not shown up. Called yesterday and the online dealer checked the status and said the order had fallen into a black hole and Rancho was shipping them out today directly to me.

Wanted to make sure and get my $100 rebate before it expires June 30th.

6 in the front, 3 or 4 in the back.

I consider position one with the dial all the way counter-clockwise, first click is 2, etc. Righty tighty, lefty loosey!

I think a post must have at least "10 characters" or it will not let you post.

Kind of stupid if you ask me!!
