Green Door Panels?

So my Dad calls me when he runs across a 73-79 sitting some where and will send pictures and ask if there is anything I want off of it. If there is he will ask the owner about it and we go from there. I got one of those calls and turns out the old feller had a 76 F150 with front and rear 8 lug axles. I kinda scratched my head as the old man insisted it was bought new that way.

Anyway, the doors on the truck were just about perfect and he said I could have them for "what I thought they were worth". I grabbed a old set of doors I had and swapped them out (he wanted to keep doors on it to protect the dash and other good parts inside). The door panels are green and besides being dirty, are dang near perfect. I grabbed the sun visors as well and they look pretty good too.

Are these things hard to find? I dont need green panels but at the same time dont want to mess them up when I go to take them off and put my blue ones on the doors.

Anyone need a couple green panels?

They do not make re-production Green panels, and as far as i know they are some-what rare. it is very good of you to try and give these to someone who needs them, i recently saw someone paint some green panels black and it saddened me. though i do understand, those replacement panels are expensive.

If the dash pad is still good, I'd go back and get it, too. ANY green interior parts are hard to find in decent shape. If it's an XLT, check and see if it still has a good headliner, too.

Dash pad was toast and there wasn't a headliner. Seat wasn't all that bad but I bet there was about ten years worth of rats nests in it.

my '77 had green door panels, but they were torn to heck. I wish I had known then they were some what rare. I have looked high and low for green interior. I found a seat vinyl company in Oregon that has OEM green seat vinyl and found a set of green door panels on ebay. but $400 is too much. @gpence, LMC has red ones I think.

at $300 or whatever LMC get's for a dash pad I'd rather wait and buy a whole parts truck just for a good red dash pad. LMAO
Beside's that the only non factory parts going on eithe rof my trucks is going to be a box side and nothing more

Yep. Still sitting in the garage on the doors. My problem is I don't want to break them trying to get them off the doors.

There are special tools to remove door panels without damage that aren't that expensive. Probably a good thing to have for the future if you need to do something inside your door and need to remove the panels.

Note: Door trim panels (regardless of the color) are not all the same. 1973/79 Ranger XLT and 1978/79 Lariat are different:

Vinyl & cloth w/an upper 'wood' grain overlay with 'color keyed' vinyl accent. 'Color keyed' map compartment that attaches to the entire lower section of the trim panel with clips.

383033-S100 .. Plastic "Push Pin" type Door Trim Panel Clip ~ Door Trim Panel to Door (all models) / Obsolete / DC has this clip listed as p/n 387477-S ~ It's not the same as the original! It's much shorter.

There are 169 of the correct 383033-S100 clips available NOS from Ford Dealers/obsolete parts vendors.

DON SANDERSON FORD in Glendale AZ has the largest supply (64) = 623-842-8643.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
385188-S .. Plastic "Push Pin" type Clip ~ Map Compartment to Door Trim Panel / Obsolete

SANDERSON has 20.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 142 = 800-543-4959.

I'm actually looking for a green dash pad if you can still get it. If its not cracked and is dark green let me know if you can get it.
