In a former career I used to haul the machines (boomlifts & scissor lifts) that allot of contractors that put prefab buildings up...commonly used. It's amazing how quick they can put those things up. And they last for YEARS! Though they don't seem to take EF3 (and up) tornadoes too well.

That is cool! Does the software come with the 71 Ford or did you find that on the web somewhere?

Well, at least with it dry like this you don't have to worry about rain washing out your form work...or when they get ready to pour the slab.

It's been so dry over here that Pintos have been banned from the highways

What direction are we looking here? In relation to the house?

The site is 150' directly behind the house. The angle is looking at the back-left corner of the property. The pond is just behind it to the right.

Cool. That's about where I assumed it was going.

Gonna put a nice big driveway around it?

When I can afford it I wont have much choice, some of that gets a little squishy during the winter / spring.

We're setting forms and digging footings today.. I have my plumbing and conduits ready to rough-in this evening, and we expect to be pouring concrete first thing Wednesday morning.

The steel will be delivered on 8/17 and they should get to work putting it up most likely the following week. From there I'll have to rent a trencher and get all my plumbing and electrical in order.

Joe, I'm sure your aware of this...but just in case. A trencher...chain down cutting through the soil with that Wisconsin screaming away will cut right through cable coax, water sprinkler plumbing and anything else somebody forgot to mark. Learned that little nugget of information one Saturday morning at the church where we used to go. What was supposed to be a simple little "project" taking just a couple of hours snowballed into an all day affair.

4" mains also..... ended up with a hole big enough to put a truck in so they could get in & get it fixed.

LOL, luckily the only thing I have to contend with is the phone line going to the house, and the water main.. but its a good ways down there..it's under the footing.

We have a slab, already a few cracks in it.. but I'll be keeping it damp the next few days so it drys nice and slow.. hopefully we can keep the cracking to a minimum. I've been considering putting a sealant / coating on it, anyone have any suggestions or products I should stay away from?
