The 30x50 really opens it up a little, hopefully that's within budget

Bathroom in the corner in front off the little truck. Are you on city water? If not you'll have to have another perk test done unless you can tie in to existing septic.

That's where I had it last night, and I deleted it at the last minute because I couldn't decide..

Yes we're on city water, and I plan to tie the bathroom into the existing septic. I'll also have another sink out in the shop for nasty stuff.. that one may not go into the septic.. not sure yet

I already have a 100A panel on the side of the house that was put in for the shop, and the water main already tee's and is capped off.

You haven't been planning this for any length of time at all have you.

This software is pretty slick.. I can lay out the design, then render it out and actually take a virtual walk-through.

I just got the updated quote, and the extra 10' to make it 30x50 will only be an extra $1050.. of course there is extra concrete, ect, but still it shouldn't be too bad

Don't hesitate on making it bigger, no matter how big you will fill it up

That is exactly what I was just thinking. Was looking at the mock ups and thinking "he's gonna need 60'x100'.

How you been Jeff? Anywhere close to home yet?

Been trying to drag my feet and extend this as long as possible, but I have hit the heat in the plains and decided it's time to head home. In north Kansas now, but should pull into the homestead Fri or Sat.

Very good. Unfortunately you'll arrive just in time for the heat to turn back on here. Been pretty decent this week. Overcast a little rain and only 90°

Jeff I forget did you get the A/C in the truck or are you running 2-55 A/C?

This heat and drought is just crazy. I dug up the water main which is about 2' down and it was like digging frozen ground the whole way.

I finally decided on 30 x 50 x13 with a 2:12 pitch. Between steel, concrete, and erection the difference between that and a 30x40 was about $2800

I'll sign the papers in the morning, in 2wks I'll have the Blueprints and around 6wks I'll have the steel. Right now I'm trying to decide if it's worth the extra $400 for a white roof vs. the galvalume.

Yes I do have a/c in the truck, it has been needed the last few days. Funny thing is, I was running the heat just a few nights ago
On the roof, I would go with the white, it will be cooler and easier on the a/c bill.

The reflectivity was what I was thinking of as well.. I think it will pay for itself eventually.

Here's the latest render, with the roof pitch and a few other things
