Vista is your operating system. Do you use Internet Explorer to view this site?

Try right clicking on the link to the TSB and telling it to 'Save this link' - that will produce a file on your computer that you can open with Adobe Reader.

I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I right clicked it and it "saved target as" and it said it was saved to adobe, but I can't find it. Tried to save it again and it said it was already saved. I'm so bad with these damn computers, sometimes I want to throw this thing through the wall.....

I gotta go do something for a bit and get off this damn thing before I do.

You need to tell it to save to your Documents folder or your desktop, not to 'Adobe'.

Also, see this for how to save a file to your desktop:

http://solutionfile.trendmicro.com/s...desktopv7.html

Further, I would suggest these reading materials:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/078...ce-full-site=1
http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Idiot...pd_sim_sbs_b_3

Despite the titles, they're actually pretty good and not condescending.

Before looking the complete idiot one should fit me good. I'll check them links out.

Thanks Mike. I googled it and came up with some other help, but I'm still not 100% sure how much to cut. The other photos I found said to cut that first pic flush with the bracket and the other little brace on it cut 1/2 inch lower. Is that right? That the only cuts I have to make?

Thanks again

Try this link, maybe it will work for you. The cuts just make everything flush.

Edit: What you discribed about the cuts is correct.

Thanks Glenn, but that link doesn't work for me either. As long as what I said is right, I'm good to go.

Here we go again, I've got another question. My new kirby double pulley for the alternator seems to be a little smaller in diameter than the stock one (needed for the york). I read spktyr's thread on belts, but really don't know what to get. I was going to order two from partsguyed, but question doing that now. I remember cutts mentioning this about the pulley somewhere but can't find it. I pm'd him once quite a while ago but haven't seen him around for a few months. I don't know if he has the dual tensioner though..

I'm starting to get frustrated and a little angry at this point..

Ya, cutting the bracket is a little nerve racking because you then can't go back to the stock tensioner but after you do it you realize it was no big deal. Cut the bolt hole flush, then chip away at the flange until it will clear the dual tensioner and your good to go. I don't know if the link to the thread where the guy used a sawzal was posted but it worked good. Cut the flange every quarter inch or so and chip it off. Good Luck!

Edit: Can't help you on that one.

Oldbird, I used an angle grinder, first with a cutoff wheel then a grinding wheel, to cut down my bracket. It went fairly easily and quickly; I think that's the proper tool for the job.

Ya, after the rough cuts I used a grinding wheel to smooth things up. Forgot to mention that Darin.

Pete said he did his in his pickup, I wasn't that brave. Its only three or four bolts after you set the alternator to the side.
