My last truck had tape on and they were fine. I always thought that they would loosen up some day but they didn't. For my new truck, I got the Weathertech in-channel ones. They fit well, do not rattle or move and look better IMO compared to the tape on.
Is your vehicle equipped with the power windows with the auto feature and if so, have you had any issues?
