Creaking noise at low speeds
I'm getting a multiple creaking noise at low speeds. When I'm breaking medium to hard and accelerating from a stop is the only time it does it. Thought it might be the leaf spring isolators but isn't really a squeaking sound. Looks like the isolators have completely worn off and are no
longer there. I did spray all the areas where the isolators should be with some silicon lubricant but didn't help. I am getting some metal to metal wear where the isolators should be and do need to fix that.
It's only from drivers side front. I checked for loose bolts on the calipers and didn't find anything.
I did have a front end popping sound at low speeds while breaking medium to hard which I think may be ball joints but I can't see any play when prying on the tire. I can't recall hearing the popping sound for a while probably last happened in the the colder months. Maybe it's just the warm weather and my truck getting old. Went from a popping sound to a creaking. I don't have much cash to fix my truck now but maybe it's something cheap.
Any ideas? Thanks

X2 I had the same issue. There are two ways to fix this:
- Spend big dollars on new assemblies and replace (bolts and all)
- By the bushings and bolts and press them in (if you have the tools)

Start with the sway bar link directly under the drivers side floor. I would recommend changing to Poly bushings, not wasting your money on the same design link. A from sway bar kit is pretty cheap. Replace all of them and you will see and hear a HUGE difference. A set of bushings will cost you about what a new sway bar link would.
