Question for those with "climate control".

I have a 2011 F350 and I think my cllimate control system is not working properly. I must have the AC on for it to cool. I use to just have it on AUTO and it would cool. Took it to a dealer and they replaced a thermostat control but it still works the same way. They told me I must have it on AUTO and AC for it to cool. I don't think it worked that way before. Before it would cool on AUTO only. How does yours work?????

I have a 2011 250 that does the same thing. It's going in for some routine maintenance this Monday and that's on my "to do" list to ask about that same issue. I know that in my old Jeep Grand Cherokee, the automatic climate control would turn the A/C on and off depending on the temperature. But in the 250, unless I push the A/C button, it doesn't come on automatically no matter how hot the cab is. I'm guessing this is the way it was meant to work. Which sucks.
