ok so i finally got around to removing the shift kit in my e40d and the 1-2 shift is still pretty hard but the rest of the shifts are about stock. i dont remember the truck shifting this hard when i got it (bone stock) seems to me after swapping from the 4leaf pack to the 5 leaf pack (5leaf doesn't have as much of a arch) i started to notice it. and then lifting the rear end it seems to have gotten more noticeable. and now with the 33's. as it sits now there isnt much of an arch in the rear springs
with the truck in drive if i give it short bursts of acelleration (bout 1/2 throttle) i can hear what sounds to be something creeking.. and the same in reverse.
could this sound be the slip yoke moving in the end of the tcase?
i have new motor mounts and tranny mount so thats not it. and the rear shocks seem fine.
i was thinking about a set of the james duff traction bars
Ford Traction Bars, Stabilizers and Brackets by James Duff Enterprises
wonder if they would help?
