Fuse keeps blowing (4 related issues)...???
I've got a 2005 Excursion (Diesel) which for the most part I've taken immaculate care of. That said, I think I might've knocked something loose offroad a few weeks ago. Since then, there are four distinct issues:
-A/C works fine, but no longer comes out of the front vents (rather, only
out of the defrost and floor vents now);
-Blinkers dont work (although the hazards work fine);
-Rear sensors (when in reverse...beep beep);
-Seat warmers.
Ford dealership found that it was just one of the fuses, but NOT the one you'd think (as I'd changed all those already). They discovered it was fuse #27 (15amp) which is the "Ignition switch Run feed".
So, we put in a new fuse and everything works fine but only for about 5-7 starts, then it all goes out again (although like I said the A/C still works, but just out of the wrong vents and the blinkers stop, altho the hazards work fine).
Weird huh?
You guys have any suggestions? While I can easily keep switching out the fuses, this is only a 'bandaid' for something bigger that's wrong, plus I dont want an even bigger problem. Thanks much!

i had the same issue with the AC, someone on another forum posted there is a grey vacuum hose that comes loose. Sure enough when I put on my coolant filter I knocked it off. Let me see if I can find the picture was what it is connected too.
EDIT: The valve for the heater control is under the hood, close to the MAP sensor and Tranny dipstick. The line to it is (should be) a small gray vacuum line. See if the line has come off.

I had similar problem with my V-10 excursion it wound up being a factory recall & of all places the short was under the hood on the wireing that leads to the master cylinder brake switch. You wanna talk some gremlins boo switch,a/c,headlights,cruise control. You may want to see if that may be a good start. LIVE LONG AND PROSPER.
