He's been busy! Yes, he sold the one that went for $10k, and this one too.

Cosmaar, what is this dude's deal? Why does he have so many of these things? How were you expecting to get him to lower the price considering it's on ebay? Is he shopping them outside of the auctions and using the "unusual" number of bids to bait people in? Just curious.

i have no idea what his deal is. you guys pointed it out first that he was selling so many of them haha. i then researched and found that you were right. hes sold about 5-6 of them since last fall. ive read hes gotten them from ohio, michigan, and north carolina. i wasnt considering having him lower the bid and i didnt wonder about the 35 bids. my big question was, IS THE TRUCK EVEN WORTH IT! Like i said earlier, i dont know what old fords go for. i figured you guys would know best thats why i asked.

i did email him though. hopefully he emails me back and wants to sell me another one

Interesting. To answer your earlier question, he sold a relatively average truck that definitely needed restoration back about January. The final price was $10,201. I can't find the original ad, but I found the feedback he got on it which was positive. That truck was about the same shape as the one you posted. We were all shocked. It should have never seen the north side of $5000.

Keep us updated, especially if you see those trucks in person. I'd love to know how he got them all.

Well, the good news (based on the above seller's activity) for everyone here is, there is obviously a pretty strong market for these trucks and the value of what you have may be more than what you thought!!

...Holy moly...that truck had more mud then than a female wrestling competition.

Based on his description of that very same truck "It came out of North Georgia, so it is pretty solid" ...I would be very suspect of the condition of any truck he is selling.

I'll never understand the ebay versus CL pricing for any of these trucks. So Ross, is this one worth 10K in Ohio?

I would love to know more about the rear bumper on this truck, it is the same as the one on my truck and no one could tell me where it came from (see my album).

I would think this truck was priced a bit high but hey check this out:

1952 Ford F-1 1/2 ton - Edmonton Collector Cars For Sale - Kijiji Edmonton Canada.

If my truck is 10 times nicer then this one does it make it worth $65,000?

Out of curiosity, on Sunday I went to look at a '49 F1 posted on Craiglist for $2500. It was nearby, so what the heck. I was astounded. It wasn't even a good parts truck, probably $2400 overpriced.

Possibly an old collection. I knew I guy who had a lifetime collection of Cadillacs, sold them off one and two at a time as he got older. I know of a Thunderbird collection that will probably go the same way.

Well, it sold last night at 6100. I probably should have went and looked at it, but being that I caught it in the last 24 hrs of bidding, probably not a smart decision on my part to buy something sporatically. o well, im sure there is another one out there for me..... only problem is, WHERE THE HECK IS IT!!!!!
