Tranny Overheating...ish
Ok, 2000 7.3 auto. Bone stock. Never given me an issue. Was backing 14k 5th wheel camper up a hill to get it in it's site. It barfed up about a quart of trans fluid, and got to about 220. I didn't feel like I was working it that hard. It came out of the overflow tube - and pulling the trailer back home (after adding the missing fluid) it ran at about 185 which is normal. A couple of guys told me that "reverse is really hard and creates heat" which is ok - I'll do it in low next time - what do y'all think?
