help with zf5 speed rebuild
#17
Gabe, sorry I didn't get your reply here sooner. I was outside enjoying the nice weather (well, okay I was fumbling around the shop, garden, parts truck, etc) this evening. I just replied to your PM. The kit has most of the spacers and bushings necessary to remove and install the bearings. That's about it as far as I can tell. I didn't spend a ton of time on it since the deal I was trying to work out for a couple 4x4 ZF5's went south...gotta love Craigslist... blessing and a curse.

Ya thats alright Nate, I need to gather the rest of the parts i need befor i do this. And reading bills thread makes me wanna go ahead and make my own up pipes while i have the trans out. It seems if you have the right tools the job goes alot easier. Im waiting on a snap-on tool to remove the wheel bearings on my wifes truck. Soon as we fix that i will be working on my truck.
