BFG T/A KO's anyone?
So I recently put new tires on my 2005 F-250, 275/70/18 BFG T/A KO's. The stock tires were continental I recall, but highway tires nonetheless. It seems I'm spending more time now correcting the drift on the truck. Maybe I'm just not used to how an A/T tire performs, but not sure if I really happy with them. they were aired up to 60 PSI at the shop (Americas Tire). I'll be towing a 10-11k Gear box trailer and don't really want to have to fight this thing for 5 hours on the road if that's going to be the case.
Anyone have experience with this tire? Any suggestions?
Thanks
-Eric

My experience is that tires with an offroad tread pattern, not just the BFG's, tend to wander some depending on road surface type. For example, there is a stretch of interstate here that has been grooved, and I think the guy operating the grooving machinery was drunk at the time. It is awful to drive thru there, about enough to make you sea sick. As others have said, keeping the inflation to near max does seem to help a lot.

I'm at work and don't have the truck to check, but called the shop and they confirmed that their computers show an E rated tire being purchased and installed. I'll have to confirm this when I get home though.
Glad to see all the good reviews here though. Wasn't sure if I made a mistake after researching and choosing these tires.

My dad has been running BFG A/Ts 285/75R16 D on his SDs since around 2000 or 2001 and went through quite a few pairs to date. His are pretty solid and he doesn't have issues with wander or anything. I've driven his truck many times to confirm. His trucks are all crew cab short beds. Both me and him noticed the quality of the tire seemed to go down over the years. The later tires seem to develop tread cracking much more quickly. Overall though they are a great tire.
I currently have Cooper 285/75R16 Ds on my super cab short bed and they are squirmy and make the touchy especially when towing.(I've tried all kinds of tire pressures) I attribute the squirm to no solid tread bar running down the center of the tire, deep tread depth and the large void area of the tread.
One of the most stabil tires you are going to get is a tire with solid strips of tread that run down the center of the tire. The class 8 trucks always run those types of tires on the steer axles of the truck.

I had some BFG ATKO on a jeep I owned 8 years ago. They were great on the street and pretty good off road as well. BFG makes the best tires iv owned so far. I'm running the BFG KM2 tires now a days on my F-250. These tires a the best iv owned for off road use. They handle pretty good on road too. D rated. Iv put almost 15k on them so far and they still look almost new.
