With my 65 std. cab I happened across the stainless windshield trim, then called a couple local auto glass shops and found 1 that could order it and had them install. I had the rubber gasket and seem to recall it cost approx. $250. They also came out with a windshield with about a 6" wide tent that ran across the top and it's my understanding that tinted stripe could become a nuisance. IMO, Dennis Carpenter offers quality window gaskets.
I don't know who made them but an original will have "Carlite" on it. They are still around - a buddy found two at a glass shop that had been around a long time. Paid about $150 per.

Look at places that have been around for decades and have not been subject to high land costs that have forced them to use less space. Phone calls won't work because your windshield isn't in the computer...

I broke the original windshield moving it and decided that if I need to get on the phone to locate a windshield a reputable auto glass shop should be able to do the same. It took them 2-3 hours to locate a supplier. Imagine if I were to find a windshield I could have checked with the shop to see if they would accept delivery; therefore, any issues regarding installation would be on the shop. The most exciting part was driving 20 miles without a windshield.
Suggest post a request for info with the Western Region Forum, 'Washington Chapter' and see if any member's in the great state of Washington know of any sources?

Who made windshields for the Ford F100 in 1965 and whats' the best source for replacing the front windshield with a factory look?
The windshield (originally clear or tinted was available) can be bought from any autoglass shop. If they don't have it in stock, it only takes a day or two for them to get it.
In the late 1970's, NAGS introduced a sun-band windshield which is a tinted windshield with extra tint across the top.
Ford: C6TZ-8103100-C / NAGS: W602 .. Windshield / FoMoCo: Obsolete / Available from autoglass shops.
NAGS: National Auto Glass Society, organization autoglass shops belong to.
When you order a W602 windshield from autoglass shops, you have to specify: Clear, Tinted or Sun-Band.
Caveat Emptor = Let the buyer beware. If one is over 6' tall and driving at night with a sun-band: The extra tint across the top may block the view ahead.
I found this out in 1983, after I had Bruin Auto Glass install a sun-band in my 1965 F100.

Sorry, kinda lost track with this thread!. Looks like ND answered your question, I have not compared prices but IMO DC makes quality gaskets, may cost more but made to fit, found the same with their door weatherstrip. Some member say not necessary using a sealer when installing, the shop I went to did, this was several yrs. ago with no leakage.
