Can anyone tell me how they use their iPod with the Nav Radio? Do you plug into USB port and can you control the iPod with your steering wheel controls?
Yes plug it in to the USB then it will bring it up on the Nav screen. Change the Nav to AUX and to the one not labelled line in. Don't remember what it says.
You can use the USB cable connection, the inline audio jack, or bluetooth audio.
If you connect your phone via usb then you will get to see all the track info on your screen, however you lose control of the ipod app. If you use bluetooth then you reatain ipod control but dont get track info.
I havent use the inline audio jack because ipods preamp their headphone jack and ruin the sound if youre already running an amp.
Has anyone spliced or installed any adapters to plug in your iPod into the glove box or somewhere remote so that you don't always have a wire hanging out??

And, as u lose control of the iPod app with USB, I replaced my iPod with a USB memory stick.. no real monetary value if it was seen. just a different cable.. cheap mini usb to usb male (had one of these from old blackbery), and a female to female adapter.. $1.25 from amazon.
I agree Sam. I also don't like my phone occupied playing stuff all the time so I use the jukebox and memory stick method often. If I had a plain iPod that was not a phone too, different story. Depends on your equipment.
Bought the female to female USB coupling and used an old USB to Mini-USB cable laying around with my ipod to USB cable. Found the USB2 port behind the glove box, zip tied the extra wires and WALLA!! Works perfect!
