Yup. Changing irrigation pipe, driving tractor and combine, cleaning horse barns, chasing down stray cows. Figuring out how to balance everything with football, basketball and baseball. To ad insult to injury my "mean" old parents wouldn't let me have my rig unless I had a 3.0 or better GPA. And yet somehow, looking back, those were some fun years.

My sisters was injected and she had two low pressure electric, one in each fuel tank.
Mine was carb and had the mechanical pump. Had to change it twice. According to the sticker and the VIN, the assy plant was in Ontario Canada.

I think some of the carb models did have a low pressure fuel pump in the tank and they called it the "hot fuel" system or something like that.

My shop manual has procedures for R&R of a frame mounted fuel pump in addition to the mechanical and the in tanks. Only frame mount I dealt with was on my FIL's Ranger. It was a late 80's, but I don't remember the specific year now.

SAME here! The day I got a job and a means of transportation, I was on my own financially. EVERYTHING I need/want comes out of my paycheck. Makes me sick when I see other people my age just get everything handed to them. They don't have to work, or pay for anything, and mommy and daddy buy them whatever they want, including brand new cars, etc.
