so, heres how the story goes... bought a 91 F150 for parts, and when we were done, we had a frame with a cab, bed, and rear suspension left. We ended up scrapping the rusty cab and turning the rest into a 6 foot pickup trailer to pull behind our many trucks and such.

As im putting the finishing touches on this trailer, my mother informs me she needs to use the trailer to hook behind her Expedition, drive to Minneapolis, and haul a bunch of stuff both to my sister's house (she lives in Minnesota) and back home ( we live in Northeast Iowa). My dad would really like to locate a free or cheap topper either near home (eastern Iowa) or perhaps up near Minneapolis, while we are up visiting.

I know it's a LONG shot, but does anyone have a free or cheap topper for a shortbox??

Check some of the local lemon lots, usually they'll sell canopies, tool boxes etc off of the trucks on the lot at a decent price.
