Hard Cover Best Warranty

Hey guys, I've got a new 2013 F250 short bed coming in next week and need some help. I'm only interested in a hard tonneau cover so please don't go off on the soft cover trail. I've got an Undercover top I've had for four years. It started leaking in a heavy rain through the support channels underneath the top and eventually flooded the light so it wouldn't cut off. I took it out and water continues to come out of it when it rains so I put a towel under it. Took it back to the reseller and they tried to find a crack but couldn't so they resealed around the locks. Did no good.
Undercover's response was that it was six months out of the three-year warranty so they couldn't support it. The best they could do was sell me another one at half price.
I've been looking at Leer 550's but it troubles me that they don't give you a factory phone number to contact them if you have a problem. The local dealer runs his shop out of a small metal building next to his house and wants half of the cost upfront to order it.
When I called him today, his wife said Leer had a five-year warranty and then he called back and said it was lifetime.
That was a long way to go to ask this question: Based on your experience, who has the best customer service for hard top covers? I would appreciate it if you would relate your personal dealings with them for any that went over and above. If I'm going to spend the money, I'd like a manufacturer that is accessible and supportive.
Thanks in advance!

Wow, it's a little disconcerting to find out I'm the only one that's ever had an issue with a hard bed cover! Oh well.

Leer states they do have a life time warranty. Most all companies rely on their dealer network for warranty work and repairs.

LEER- Service/Parts

I have a brand new Leer 700 tonneau which leaks when raised. So far the dealer has replaced the rubber seal and it still leaks. His next step is to ask Leer to build another NEW cover for me.

That's a great story. Guess it just depends on dealer. Thanks!
