I think it will. Several other people on here feel the same way. I'm not sure if its actually been proven or not.

Hmm. Thanks for the answer. I developed a decent sized oil leak after my last oil change. Is it just overfull and blowing out or has it developed a hole that isn't going to stop even with the correct amount of oil?

Only way to find out is drain some and see if it keeps leaking. Since you said its a decent sized leak, you might have a bigger problem. I had a hanging drip on my bell housing with 15 qts of oil, it went away after I started using 14 qts.
