2002 F350 4X4 Rubbing on Leaf Springs - Increase tires size + lift kit

I have a 2002 F350 7.3L. I put a 2" leveling kit on it. I want to increase tire size. I bought I set of stock wheels and rims from a 2009 F350. 18" wheels and 275/ 70/ R18 tires. The plan was to put a little larger, more aggressive tire on that wheel. However, I'm getting rubbing on the leaf spring.

I'm thinking about a 4" lift kit now. Will this solve my issue? How big can I go on my tires?

Is there any difference in rubbing between a 16" and 18" wheel size? I don't think the size on the rim matters, it should be only the size of the tire but I have to ask.

Thanks!

When you put on those wheels from the 09, did you put in the 2" spacers? After 04, they changed the offset. That may be why they are rubbing.

Rubbing

No. I was unaware of the 2" spacers. They work on a 2002?

Yeah, to run '05+ wheels you need 2" spacers. Really, spacers are not recommended, but the steel ones are okay, they are expensive though. Do you notice the wheels look like they sit in way too far? Rather than getting spacers, I would recommend you just sell them and get wheels that fit correctly.
