This truck never smoked and last week it started.
I changed air filter and fuel filters and neither was dirty to the eye.
1/4 tank of fuel from exxon where most is purchase added lucus fuel conditioner and filled from truck stop accros the street.
No codes , scan gauge readings are good , power is good , loss fuel milage
need help or pointers of what is failing, need to fix this old boy pulls a trailer with excavator
2004 170,000 miles with no modes or chips

Hows the boost?. Check the aftercooler boots for tears. Also pull the egr valve out and clean it up.

 

boost is the same as it was two months a go with i install a scan gauge.
see no tears in any of the boots in the trubo delivery system
try the egr next week

 

on the scan gauge the the boost interstate at 70mph 8 to 12 boost
on pulls boost as high as 22

 

did you ever change the FICM?

 

No it is still holding at 45 to 46.5 volts

 

I think that is low ........

 

For two days still running good but no smoke.

 

FICM should be 48-49. anything lower is NFG
